Here you can find projects, updates, and interests of mine that found their way onto the web sometime in the distant past. Many of them are silly or amateur, but, at some point in my life, they meant enough to me to publish.
In the navigation above you can view photos from my 7th grade trip to Greece (The 'Ultimate' Field Trip), or several reports I composed on my childhood passion, the Middle Ages. Below, you can find links to several documentaries and photo galleries from my past.

National History Day Documentaries
While I was in Middle School, I participated in National History Day. It's an academic contest where you get to research an historical subject. You can do a paper, exhibit, performance or documentary. I've done two documentaries.
In 2004, my documentary was about Apple Computer, which I produced with my friend Michael. We took third place at the regional competition and first place at State, and represented Tennessee in our category (Junior Group Documentary) at National History Day at the University of Maryland on June 13. Even though we didn't place at National, we had a great time! :) Also, here are some pictures from the National competition.
Here is my 2005 documentary about College Radio. It took first at the regional, and second at State. I got to the National contest for a second time, but still didn't place. Oh, well ... you be the judge.

Youth Leg '07
My school's youth in government group (of which I am a part) attended the 2007 YMCA Youth Legislature Conference in Nashville. As in previous years, we had the privilege of using the state capital and surrounding buildings. In 2007, I was a lawyer with my friend Ben, which meant we got to argue our cases in the actual Tennessee Supreme Court chambers. It was really cool! Here are the photos!

Youth Leg '06
Youth Legislature is a 4-day simulation conference. It's part of the YMCA youth in government program. It involves creating a bill and then debating it with all the attendants. Here are some pictures of our group at the Tennessee state captiol as well as other places. Also, here is a PDF of our bill.

Model UN '06
Our area's Model United Nations Conference is held each Fall. It is always a bunch of fun. Our 2006 resolution passed in committee but was sent to the International Court of Justice where it was complemented but ruled against due to a technicality in the title. I'm looking forward to Youth Legislature next spring and I hope to participate as a security council nation. You can see past years' pix here.
